The State Property Fund of Ukraine has found a private investor for the Khmelnytskyi State Experimental Prosthetics and Orthopedics Enterprise

On October 26, the State Property Fund of Ukraine successfully heldan online privatization auction for the sale of the KhmelnytskyiState Experimental Prosthetics and Orthopedics Enterprise. The auction took place within the state Prozorro.Sales system.

During the auction, the value of the asset increased by 29.4% (from the initial price of UAH 24.7 million to the winning bid of UAH 32 million). Two participants competed in the auction: LLC "Tandem Trading" (the winner) and the Ukrainian Red Cross Society. The new owner is also required to pay UAH 6.4 million in value-added tax (20% of the winning bid).

The private investor is obliged to maintain the business profile of the enterprise for 10 years. The result is the attraction of investments and new technologies to this field, expanding opportunities for individuals in need of prosthetics.

Furthermore, the new owner must settle the enterprise's debts to the budget and wage payments and not lay off employees for six months.

The KhmelnytskyiState Experimental Prosthetics and Orthopedics Enterprise can produce approximately 300 types of prosthetics and has its own hospital. However, in 2022, the enterprise ended the year with a loss of UAH 500,000, and in the first half of 2023, it only made a profit of UAH 36,000. The current creditors' debt is over UAH 4.18 million.
