Vitaliy Koval, as a member of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and Vice President of the Ukrainian Wrestling Association, familiarized himself with the approach of his Japanese colleagues to Greco-Roman wrestling and emphasized the prospects for joint projects that could make an important contribution to the development of martial arts in both countries.

Representatives of Japan expressed their readiness to organize joint training sessions for upcoming world-class competitions. They recognized the high level of training of Ukrainian athletes, pointing out the importance of such initiatives for strengthening the partnership between Japan and Ukraine.

In addition, the Chairman of the SPFU drew the attention of the Japanese partners to the issue of preventing russian athletes from participating in international competitions. This decision defines a clear position against the war and emphasizes the solidarity of the Olympic community with Ukraine.

"The world community must unite in supporting sanctions against athletes who perform on behalf of the aggressor country," Vitaliy Koval said.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the SPFU got acquainted with sports complexes, infrastructure and Olympic bases. The high level of development and financing of sports is due to the state approach to this industry. The Government of Japan actively invests resources and takes systematic measures to ensure the stable development of the country's martial arts sector. This approach allows maintaining high standards, which is a key factor in ensuring the success and high status of the Japanese sport of Greco-Roman wrestling in the international arena.

"Some ideas can be implemented to develop the sports movement at the facilities of the State Property Fund of Ukraine," Vitaliy Koval emphasized.

The Chairman of the SPFU emphasized that cooperation with Japan could open up new opportunities for infrastructure development and support of Ukrainian martial arts, which he discussed with the head of the NOC of Ukraine Vadym Hutzeit and the president of the Ukrainian Wrestling Association Yuriy Kopytko. Measures aimed at implementing the best practices and experience of partner countries will make a significant contribution to improving the efficiency of the management of the Fund's sports facilities and the development of wrestling in Ukraine. This is an important step in building long-term partnerships and promoting sports in both countries.
