Volyn region: a Recreation center on Svityaz Lake at a privatization auction

On April 4, 2024, the State Property Fund of Ukraine will hold an electronic auction for the sale of a recreation center located on the shores of Svityaz Lake in Volyn region. The starting price of the privatization object is UAH 4.8 million (excluding VAT). The new owner will be obliged to maintain the hotel business profile for at least 5 years after the acquisition.

The recreation center consists of buildings with a total area of 675.2 sq.m., as well as an asset under construction - a 476.2 sq.m. dormitory building with a 77% completion rate. The base is operational and has an uninterrupted power supply. The facility, which is state-owned and managed by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, was transferred to the SPFU for privatization.

Vitaliy Koval, Chairman of the SPFU, emphasized: "Volyn has a significant potential that attracts both domestic and foreign tourists. This trend will only intensify in the postwar period. Today, the state is getting rid of assets that are not typical for it, in particular in the field of hospitality and recreation. After the sale, the local community will receive an additional impetus for the development of the territory and the creation of new jobs. The privatization of such facilities is our internal reserve to support the Ukrainian Defense Forces."

The Shatsk Lakes, which include Svityaz Lake, are a key tourist destination in Volyn region. Here you can enjoy outdoor activities, including boat and kayak rafting, visit a rope park, cycling, off-road driving, fishing, and try local gastronomic specialties.
