Success story: 99 m2 of changes in Poltava region

Sometimes change starts with 99 square meters, when a decision is made to hand over a property to someone who is willing to invest in it.

In the village of Chutove in the Poltava region, part of a non-residential building with an area of 99.4 m2 has not been used for years. The premises was on the balance sheet of the Main Statistics Office in the Poltava region, but due to prolonged idle time, it gradually fell into disrepair:

▪️ lack of heating and use;

▪️ no ongoing repairs;

▪️ deterioration of the technical condition;

▪️ loss of functionality and value.

The State bore the costs of maintenance, but the facility did not create any added value for the community.

This was a typical example of state property that did NOT work for the economy or the community. And the State Property Fund found a solution - a transparent auction. In the auction, Ms. Yulia with a bid of UAH 274,999 (excluding VAT) became the winner. The asset got a new owner - and a chance for a second life.

What has changed since the privatization? Despite the difficult war period, the investor carried out repairs and fully restored the premises.

Working today:

veterinary office "Dobro Dii"

veterinary pharmacy

The establishment is equipped with modern equipment. It provides diagnostics, treatment, prevention and rehabilitation of animals, has a hospital, vaccination and other veterinary services. And the pharmacy has a wide range of veterinary drugs, feed and care products for pets.

Result for the state and community:

 the State has received funds to the budget;

community – new quality services;

created a working business instead of an abandoned square;

object returned to economic circulation.

Small privatization is not just a sale of property. It is a mechanism for turning "dead" assets into live economic growth points.

The history of Chutove is another proof: when a responsible owner appears, the building gets a new life, and the community gets new opportunities.
