The State Land Bank Wins Court Case Over 5,400 Hectares of Land in Odesa Region — Plots Listed for Auction

State Land Bank LLC has won a court case regarding 5,400 hectares of state-owned agricultural land in the Odesa region, which had been under seizure for over a year and a half. After being released, the plots have already been put up for online auction on the Prozorro.Sales platform.

The land in question is located in the Berezivka District of Odesa Oblast and was previously under permanent use by a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Justice. Due to a legal dispute with the Petrovirivka Village Council, these plots were under seizure for over a year and a half and effectively lay idle. During this time, the state lost the opportunity to receive annual revenues of approximately UAH 19.3 million.

“For over a year and a half, we fought to have the seizure lifted from these state-owned lands. Today, we finally have a positive court ruling that has unblocked over 5,400 hectares of fertile land in the Odesa region. This includes 81 land plots attractive to farmers, among which are large tracts of up to 600 hectares. This is the result of joint efforts by the State Land Bank, the State Property Fund, and the State Geocadastre,” said Yaroslav Yaroslavsky, CEO of State Land Bank LLC.

The size of the plots ranges from 1 to nearly 600 hectares, with an average size of about 67 hectares.

Importantly, the land remains state-owned, and farmers can compete for the right to use it for up to 14 years through open online auctions.

The transfer of plots through transparent subleasing creates fair and competitive conditions for farmers’ access to state-owned land and ensures revenue for state and local budgets.
