On May 8, Ukraine joins the civilized world in commemorating the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in World War II (1939–1945)
This day serves as a reminder of the terrible price humanity pays for aggression, hatred, and the desire to enslave other nations. We honor the memory of the millions of people whose lives were taken by the bloodiest war in human history, as well as the Ukrainian people’s contribution to the Anti-Hitler Coalition’s victory over Nazism.
Today, Ukrainians are once again fighting for their freedom, independence, and the right to live on their own land. And just as we did then, we know: peace is impossible without justice, and freedom is impossible without the courage of those who defend it.
The team at the State Property Fund of Ukraine honors the memory of all those who fell during World War II and thanks everyone who is defending Ukraine today.
We remember.
We will prevail.
