For the first time, appraisers have confirmed their professional development through online testing
The State Property Fund continues to reform professional appraisal activities under the coordination of Nataliya Panova, Deputy Chair of the State Property Fund, who is responsible for property valuation and the implementation of modern standards in the field of appraisal.
For the first time in Ukraine, appraisers have demonstrated their professional development through online testing—a new tool that the State Property Fund is implementing as part of a comprehensive reform of the industry.
The first online testing session, following completion of the mandatory professional development program “General Issues in Valuation,” took place at the International Institute of Business.
This is a tangible result of the reform aimed at:
• raising the professional level of appraisers;
• improving the quality of appraisal services;
• strengthening confidence in appraisal results;
• digitization and transparency of procedures.
For the average citizen, the quality of an appraiser’s work is of direct importance: property appraisals are used in sales, inheritance, leasing, privatization, legal disputes, compensation for damages, and other important property matters. This is precisely why the state is tightening requirements for the professional competence of appraisers.
Based on the results of the online testing, over 85% of appraisers successfully confirmed their professional development. They will receive new-format appraiser certification and will be able to continue their professional activities in accordance with the updated legal requirements.
The new format for confirming qualifications is another step toward improving the quality of appraisal services, building trust in the profession, and protecting the interests of citizens, businesses, and the state.
