For the First Time at URC: State Property Fund of Ukraine Showcases the Country’s Investment Potential Through the Original FUNDOPOLY Game
On the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC) in Gdańsk, the team of the State Property Fund of Ukraine unveiled FUNDOPOLY—an original interactive game designed as a unique format for presenting Ukraine’s state assets and investment opportunities to international partners.
FUNDOPOLY is much more than a game. It is an interactive map of the Ukrainian economy, where every square represents a real state asset, every move reveals a new investment opportunity, and every decision demonstrates the mechanisms driving the country's economic development and recovery.
One of the highlights of the presentation was that workshop participants played the game live on stage. In real time, they explored privatization assets, promising investment projects, and the tools that are shaping Ukraine’s new investment ecosystem.
The core concept behind FUNDOPOLY is that its gameplay closely mirrors the real-life privatization process in Ukraine. Rather than simply watching a presentation, participants experienced the investor’s journey—from selecting an asset and assessing its potential to making strategic decisions in a transparent, competitive auction environment.
As the world increasingly seeks answers to where the most promising investment opportunities in Ukraine’s reconstruction can be found, we chose to present them not through dozens of slides and statistical reports, but through hands-on interaction with real assets and authentic investment scenarios.
FUNDOPOLY offers a new way to tell Ukraine’s story to the world. It is an invitation to see the country through the eyes of an investor—as a nation of opportunity, ambitious projects, and state assets capable of becoming drivers of economic growth and the foundation for long-term development.
If you understand how to play FUNDOPOLY, you understand how the privatization of Ukraine’s state assets works.
