September Privatization Results: Competition Drives Up the Sale Price of State Assets
Throughout September, the team at the State Property Fund of Ukraine conducted 34 successful online privatization auctions on the Prozorro.Sales platform, with a starting price of UAH 42.9 million.
During these auctions, 148 participants competed for state assets, and the total amount of winning bids—to be paid by the auction winners to the state budget—is UAH 253.2 million.
On average, the sale price of privatization assets during the auctions increased 5.9 times compared to the starting price.
The most expensive lot in September was a portion of a nine-story non-residential building located in Kyiv. The sale price of the property increased 14-fold as a result of the auction: from an initial 7.95 million UAH to a winning bid of UAH 114.11 million .
As of today, the Fund has announced 88 privatization auctions totaling 5.63 billion UAH on the Prozorro.Sales electronic trading platform, including 86 auctions for the sale of small-scale privatization assets worth UAH 312.33 million , scheduled to take place in October.
Each privatization auction contributes to the effective management of state property, attracts investment, fosters entrepreneurship, and generates additional revenue for Ukraine’s state budget.
