Ukraine and Japan: New Opportunities for Economic Partnership

Dmytro Natalukha, Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, held his first meeting with Osumi Yo, Japan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine.

The Chairman of the State Property Fund outlined plans for 2026. He also highlighted promising assets that may be of interest to international businesses. In particular, he mentioned investment opportunities in large industrial and strategic enterprises—Odesa Port Plant JSC, Sumykhimprom PJSC, Demurinsky Mining and Processing Plant LLC, and Motordetal-Konotop LLC.

The Ukrainian market is important for Japanese businesses. Today, Ukraine is gradually creating an environment in which the state can be a reliable partner for investors—through transparent procedures, competitive auctions, and clear rules for working with state-owned assets.

The Japanese side’s interest in further cooperation is an important signal for us—both strategically and in terms of attracting future investment.

We continue to build international partnerships so that Ukrainian state-owned assets become growth drivers for the economy and open up new opportunities for investors.
