Kostiantyn Koshelenko: Joint task local authority and State Property Fund of Ukraine is to attract investments
On August, 30 Deputy Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Kostiantyn Koshelenko visited Zaporizhzhia city to meet and discuss important cooperation issues with a mayor of city Volodymyr Buriak. He also participated session of working group on state property efficiency in Zaporizhzhia region.
During the meeting with local authorities, urgent issues regarding the region and the process of further cooperation were discussed. It will give a positive impetus to economic development So far, 4 meetings of working groups have been held in the framework of cooperation with the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration.
“Today there is an unprecedented political will and support of the Verkhovna Rada, the Government and the President of Ukraine to conduct transparent privatization.
Absolutely everyone is interested in it because investors receive promising assets, the local economy - a financial resource in the form of investments in modernization, the local community - new jobs. We must to implement it since Zaporizhzhia region volume of investments through privatization and improving the efficiency of state property management are growing. After all, attracting investments is a common task facing local authorities and the State Property Fund of Ukraine” - said Deputy Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Konstiantyn Koshelenko.
During the meeting of the working group on the efficiency of state property use in Zaporizhzhia region, the issue of the process of expanding the investment menu of the region at the expense of non-core objects for the state and those that are not used was raised.
Since the beginning of 2021, 776 state-owned objects have been inspected in the region and 65 such objects have been identified, of which 56 objects have been offered for lease and 9 for privatization.
The participants also discussed the solution of the problem of non-statutory property - housing, engineering and civil defence structures. Currently, it is proposed to transfer to the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration 73 apartment buildings located in the Zaporizhzhia region, 61 objects of engineering infrastructure for housing maintenance, 84 other objects of engineering infrastructure and improvement, as well as protective structures of civil protection - 63 objects.
Such steps allow expanding the investment menu significantly and reviving previously inefficient assets to realize the economic potential of the Zaporizhzhia region.
