Kostiantyn Koshelenko: State Property Fund launches transparent services for business opportunities to invest profitably and conveniently
The State Property Fund launches transparent services for business opportunities to invest profitably and conveniently. On September 29, 2021, Kostiantyn Koshelenko, Deputy Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, stated about this during the discussion “Government2Business” within the framework of the Access2Finance platform with the participation of representatives of small and medium-sized businesses.
Thus, the State Property Fund has launched convenient online services privatization.gov.ua and orenda.gov.ua, which contain all privatization and lease objects with comprehensive information on assets that are auctioned.
“Privatization and lease have existed for a long time, but before it was an opaque process. We have disclosed all information on state-owned objects, and now it is available online. This allows a potential investor to get all information about assets and make considered decision to participate in the auction”, Kostiantyn Koshelenko said.
During his speech, the Deputy Head of the State Property Fund gave some example of successful privatization cases that show real opportunities for the private sector to invest profitably through privatization and lease.
In particular, in Zhytomyr region on the basis of unprofitable garment factory a modern sewing and production complex LESYA was created thanks to privatization and investments. This factory specializes in sewing men’s and women’s premium quality pants and exports its products to other countries for well-known brands.
At the same time, according to the Deputy Head of the State Property Fund, if the privatization of objects requires significant financial investments, the lease allows the use of assets at lower costs.
“The lease of industrial or office space may be of interest to those entrepreneurs who do not have significant financial resources yet. Now such objects are put up for transparent online auctions, and all information about them is on the orenda.gov.ua website,” Kostiantyn Koshelenko, Deputy Head of the State Property Fund, explained.
