UAH 195 million for the non-operating Odesa Sparkling Wine Factory – online privatization auction completed

On February 1, an online auction for the privatization of the Property Complex “Odesa Sparkling Wine Factory” was held with the result of UAH 195,003,000.

7 participants competed at the transparent auction, which more than doubled the price - from the starting UAH 87,377,964 up to UAH 195,003,000

The Factory suspended its operations in 2018. The enterprise has not actually been operating for 4 years due to the need for urgent modernization of technical equipment.

The asset includes 35 real estate objects, 803 units of machinery and equipment, 7 vehicles and equipment.

After signing the purchase and sale agreement, the new owner is obliged to comply with all privatization conditions, in particular:

• to ensure the safety of core activities;

• to keep the protective structure of civil protection in readiness;

• the owner of PC “Odesa Sparkling Wine Factory” is obliged to conclude with the state body for the protection of cultural heritage an agreement for protection of the importance monument, outlining its essential conditions, and the future owner is obliged to maintain the premises in proper condition;

• to reimburse within 30 calendar days from the date of transfer of ownership for the expenses of the Regional Office of the SPFU in Odesa and Mykolaiv Regions for the assessment of the property complex “Odesa Sparkling Wine Factory” in the amount of UAH 39,500.0 (excluding VAT).

For its part, the State Property Fund will control the fulfillment by the owner of all privatization conditions. In case of non-fulfillment of the obligations assumed, the future owner of the purchase and sale agreement will be terminated.
