Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine has visited privatization objects in Kyiv

On Saturday Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, has inspected state-owned enterprises, that are subject to privatization.

Rustem Umerov noted, that most SOE generally require large maintenance expenses, but these expenses do not justify themselves: «most state-owned enterprises do not work today and make a loss». He believes that private business is able to turn unprofitable SOE into economically powerful assets.

At last, Chairman of the Fund urged the investors to take part in the privatization auctions, which will begin on 19, September. According to him, privatization today is needed for strengthening the economic front of Ukraine.
