Rustem Umerov and his deputies inspected the objects of management and privatization in the Odesa oblast

During the visit to the Odesa oblast, Rustem Umerov, Chairman of the State Property Fund, together with Dmytro Klimenkov, First Deputy Chairman, and Yana Matiieva, Deputy Chairman, inspected the work and current state of the Odesa Port Plant and the Machinery Production Association "Orion".

The work of the Odesa Port Plant from the beginning of the full-scale invasion has practically ceased. While communicating with the management and employees of the plant, Rustem Umerov stressed that joint efforts will search for ways to ensure the activities of the OPP in the conditions of war.

Machinery Production Association "Orion" since 2004 actually does not function and without added value for the state occupies 7.5 hectares of area in the city of Odesa.

"Such objects should not stand by idly. Business must buy and develop them, pay taxes to the budget and create jobs," Rustem Umerov, Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, said.

At the end of the working visit, Chairman of the SPFU together with his deputies met with Maxim Marchenko, Head of the Odesa OMA, Oleg Muratov, his Deputy, Hryhorii Didenko, Head of the Odesa Oblast Council and Oleksandr Slavskyi, Chairman of the SPFU’s regional office.

During the meeting, the participants identified priority objects of the oblast that should be worked on.

"I set a task for Oleksandr Slavskyi, Chairman of the SPFU’s regional office, to prepare for sale those objects for which we can find new effective owners this year", Rustem Umerov, Chairman of the State Property Fund summed up the results of the meeting.
