In the near future, another UAH 1 billion may be received by the state budget: the Verkhovna Rada has unblocked the privatization of state property under tax lien

The Verkhovna Rada adopted draft Law No. 8045 "On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Other Legislative Acts on the Privatization of State and Communal Property that is in the Tax Lien and Ensuring the Administration of Tax Debt Repayment".

The innovations make it possible to privatize state or communal property that is in the tax lien, and these are 41 objects with a total starting value of UAH 1 billion and more than UAH 300 million of total tax debt.

According to the terms of privatization, the buyer will be obliged to repay the tax debt in full within 6 months.

According to Rustem Umerov, Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to create a new business, these are more than 40 potentially successful new companies and jobs, taxes to the budget, and a working economy.
