#WorkingForVictory: Drohobych saltworks, which is under the management of the SPFU, has doubled the production of salt

In 2022, the «Drohobych Salt Plant», which is the oldest enterprise in the country and has the status of cultural heritage of regional importance, increased the production of salt by 2.2 times, to almost 500 tons.

The «Drohobych Salt Plant», currently, is the state-owned enterprise, that is under the management of the SPFU.

The main consumers of the plant's products are all-Ukrainian retail chains such as «Silpo», «Rukavychka» and «Arsen», local shops and bakeries in Lviv and Vinnytsia regions. The Lviv yeast production enterprise «Enzim» also buys the products of the Drohobych saltworks.

Salt at the plant is obtained by evaporation of salt oil with a mineralization of 260-295 g/l. After that, workers manually collect, dry and package it. Wood is used as an energy carrier for salt evaporation. The plant is located in Drohobych, Lviv region.
