The Verkhovna Rada has adopted in general the draft law On the Peculiarities of the Liquidation of Non-working State-owned Enterprises
Today, April 11, the Verkhovna Rada in the second reading and as a whole has adopted the draft law № 8205 On the Peculiarities of the Liquidation of Non-working State-owned Enterprises.
Currently, Ukraine has more than 1,200 non-working state-owned enterprises that exist only on paper and generate significant losses for the state. Their assets are looted or in disrepair, and their employees have not been paid for years. To liquidate these enterprises more than UAH 30 million is needed.
The new law introduces the mechanism of self-financing of the liquidation procedure so that additional budget money will not be spent on it. Qualified and experienced specialists will be involved who will receive an official remuneration (from 3% to 5% of the value of the property of state-owned enterprises returned to the state and sold at transparent auctions).
The new law will also make possible to pay off the debts of non-working enterprises to the state budget and employees.
