The Ukrainian Parliament introduced a new mechanism for liquidation of state-owned enterprises, which will help to find stolen property - the First Deputy Chairman of the Fund at the telethon "United News"

The Parliament has supported the initiative of the State Property Fund to introduce a new mechanism for liquidating non-operating state-owned enterprises. It was announced on the "United News" telethon by the First Deputy Chairman of the Fund – Denys Shuhalii. On April 11, the Parliament voted in favor of the relevant draft law No. 8205 in the second reading and in general.

According to Denys Shuhalii, there are currently more than 1,200 non-operating state-owned enterprises in Ukraine that exist on paper. "Previously, liquidators worked for free or at the expense of the state budget, so enterprises were hardly ever liquidated and accumulated debts," reported Denys Shuhalii.

The voted draft law introduces a new payment principle for the liquidators` work. If they find state-owned enterprises` stolen property, the liquidators will receive 3% to 5% of its value, Denys Shuhalii mentioned. This will happen after the property is sold at open sales on “Prozorro”, he added.
