Despite the great war, Kharkivenergozbut continues to supply electricity to consumers in Kharkiv region

In 2022, Kharkivenergozbut, which is managed by the State Property Fund of Ukraine, earned UAH 198 million in net profit.Despite the war, in2022 Kharkivenergozbutsupplied 537 thousand MW-hours of electricity to consumers.

Today, the state owns 65% of the company’s shares. The company supplies electricity to 1.25 million household consumers.

However, due to the fact that during martial law it is forbidden to disconnect household consumers from power grid, as well as problems with debt payments by consumers from the occupied territories, the company has accumulated a total debt of UAH 3.46 billion.

To resolve this issue the State Property Fund together with the management of Kharkivenergozbut, will develop an action plan to reduce the financial burden on the company.
