Unblocking of large-scale privatization and payment of salary arrears – First Deputy Chairman of the SPFU at the telethon “United News”

Over the past eight months, the State Property Fund has managed to pay off the salary arrears of almost 11 thousand employees at 14 state-owned enterprises. This was stated by First Deputy Chairman of the SPFU Denys Shuhalii during a live broadcast of the “United News”.

“This is the result of the work of the corporate governance team of the State Property Fund. One of its main tasks is to pay off salary arrears to employees of our enterprises”, said Denys Shuhalii.

Since the beginning of the year, the state budget has received almost UAH 1.3 billion thanks to the work of the SPFU. These are mainly funds from small-scale privatization, claims Denys Shuhalii.

“For the first time in the history of independent Ukraine, we have found a private investor for the port. The new owner paid more than UAH 200 million plus UAH 40 million in VAT for the port of Ust-Dunaysk”, said the First Deputy Chairman of the SPFU.

The dynamics of small-scale privatization auctions shows the Ukrainian business has adapted to work during martial law, added Denys Shuhaliy.

“Sometimes up to 40 participants take part in auctions. Therefore, we hope that this week the Verkhovna Rada will unblock large-scale privatization. Now the state budget needs a lot of money for the Defense Forces. The State Property Fund is trying to do everything possible for this,” assured the First Deputy Chairman of the SPFU.
