The General-Prosecutor Office wants to block the privatization of the “Research Institute of Electronic and Mechanical Devices”

In less than three weeks after adoption of the resolution about the closure of criminal proceedings concerning the legitimacy of privatization of the Research Institute of Electronic and Mechanical Devices, the General-Prosecutor Office decided to recognize actions of SPFU as illegal and to block privatization of this asset.

V.Kasko, Deputy General-Prosecutor, has complained to the County Administrative Court of Kyiv with two demands – to regard SPFU actions, concerning the exclusion of the Research Institute of Electronic and Mechanical Devices from the list of strategic objects of the state property, as illegal and to regard as illegal and cancel the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 12.05.2015 №271 in the part which concerns the inclusion of the Research Institute of Electronic and Mechanical Devices to the list of objects set to privatization. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the State Property Fund of Ukraine are defendants in the case.
