An attempt was made to seize the Holovynskyi Quarry in Zhytomyr region

On May 22, 2018 at 6.30 a.m. about 50 armed people in camouflage uniforms made an attempt to illegal takeover of the state enterprise “Holovynskyi Quarry”. They pushed back the guards, burst into the administrative premises and took the accounting, personnel and other documentation of the enterprise by force, stole server, other computer equipment, a safe in which there were almost UAH 100 thousand and took out the property in an unknown direction.

Policemen of the Main Administration of the National Police in Zhytomyr region, special forces of the Administration of preventive activities and policemen of the Cherniakhovsk police department have arrived at locus of the accident and arrested about 30 persons to provide an enforcement of the law and public security. A pistol of mark ПМ, special equipment, balloons with irritating substance, radio stations and other devices were taken from men.

A criminal case was opened on the fact of seizure of the state building.

The interests of the detainees are represented by the former tenant PJSC “Holovynskyi Hranit”, his advocates are manipulating a court decision and groundlessly declare about prolongation of the lease agreement and intentions to carry out economic activity on the territory of the state enterprise “Holovynskyi Quarry”.

At present, within the framework of the initiated criminal proceedings investigative authorities are carrying out investigations.

Measures for the restoration of accounting and documentation of the enterprise are made by the state enterprise “Holovynskyi Quarry”.
