In Lviv, a modern educational complex was built on the site of an unfinished building of officers

One of the main tasks of privatization of unfinished construction projects is to reduce the number of long-term construction works by selling them to the owner, who is able to complete the construction.

On the control of the Regional office there is a sale contract dated May 28, 1999 on the object of unfinished construction - a district house of officers in Lviv on the 29Stryyska street, concluded between the SPFU’s Regional office in the Lviv Oblast and the Religious Organization "Ukrainian Catholic University of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church".

The building of the University campus of the Ukrainian Catholic University, which includes an educational building, a modern dormitory, a library and information center, a church and other buildings, has been completed at this site.

357,00 mln  UAH were invested in the construction of this facility and more than  20 million foreign investment. More than 400 working places have been created. More than 800 students study at the University campus.

During construction energy-saving technologies were applied, resulting in a significant reduction in energy consumption and energy costs. Energy-saving windows and doors are installedmineral wool facades are insulated, on the roof of the academic building a system of solar collectors and solar panels is installed to provision of needs of hot water supply and electrical supply.

Only light-emitting diode fixtures with minimum power consumption are used to illuminate the premises of the library building.

The university campus is a place where rich international experience gathers. The Сoncept of the general plan of the UCU University campus was developed by professor of the University of Oregon (USA), architect Geraldust.
